Strategy (from the ancient Greek stratègós, from stratos, "army," and ago, "leadership" or "command," initially meaning "the art of the general") designated the military commander during the time of Athenian democracy .
The Greek language has several variations, such as strategicós , or proper to the chief general; stratégema, or stratagem, a war ruse; stratiá , or military expedition; stráutema , or army on campaign; stratégion , or general's tent, among others.

Currently, the concept of strategy is one of the most used words in business life, or it refers to a way of thinking about the future, integrated into the decision-making process, based on a formalized procedure that articulates results. At first glance, it seems to be a stabilized concept, with a consensual and unique meaning, so much so that, most of the time, its definition is considered unnecessary.
