Artificial intelligence

Artificial Intelligence ( AI ) is a vast field of computer science dedicated to creating systems and machines capable of performing tasks that would normally require human intelligence. These tasks include learning from data , logical reasoning, problem-solving, environmental perception, understanding , and decision-making. The fundamental goal of AI is not to replicate human consciousness, but rather to simulate cognitive processes to automate and optimize complex operations, allowing machines to process large volumes of information and identify patterns much more efficiently than a human being.

AI manifests itself through various approaches and subfields, the most prominent being Machine Learning and Deep Learning . In Machine Learning, algorithms are trained with datasets to recognize patterns and make predictions without being explicitly programmed for each specific task. Deep Learning, a more advanced subset, uses multi-layered neural networks to analyze data hierarchically and solve even more complex problems, such as image recognition and language translation. Other important areas include Natural Language Processing ( NLP ), which enables machines to understand and generate human language, and computer vision.

In the context of search and retrieval, Artificial Intelligence has revolutionized how search engines like Google operate. AI algorithms, such as RankBrain and BERT, allow the search engine to interpret the intent and context behind queries , rather than simply matching keywords . This results in a experience , where the system understands synonyms, ambiguities, and the relationship between concepts, delivering much more relevant results to satisfy the informational needs . AI also powers features such as voice search, personalized recommendations, and the organization of knowledge in the Knowledge Graph .

Hello, I'm Alexander Rodrigues Silva, SEO specialist and author of the book "Semantic SEO: Semantic Workflow". I've worked in the digital world for over two decades, focusing on website optimization since 2009. My choices have led me to delve into the intersection between user experience and content marketing strategies, always with a focus on increasing organic traffic in the long term. My research and specialization focus on Semantic SEO, where I investigate and apply semantics and connected data to website optimization. It's a fascinating field that allows me to combine my background in advertising with library science. In my second degree, in Library and Information Science, I seek to expand my knowledge in Indexing, Classification, and Categorization of Information, seeing an intrinsic connection and great application of these concepts to SEO work. I have been researching and connecting Library Science tools (such as Domain Analysis, Controlled Vocabulary, Taxonomies, and Ontologies) with new Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and Large-Scale Language Models (LLMs), exploring everything from Knowledge Graphs to the role of autonomous agents. In my role as an SEO consultant, I seek to bring a new perspective to optimization, integrating a long-term vision, content engineering, and the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence. For me, SEO work is a strategy that needs to be aligned with your business objectives, but it requires a deep understanding of how search engines work and an ability to understand search results.
