De-index

Deindexing, also known as exclusion, is when Google removes a website or webpage , search results , specifically its search index.

Google provides a Remove URLs in Search Console for voluntary cases; however, a website can also be deindexed as punishment for violating Google's Webmaster Guidelines through a manual action.

Deindexed: refers to a page or group of pages being removed from Google's index.

Google may temporarily or permanently remove websites from its index and search results if it believes it is required to do so by law, if the websites do not meet Google's quality guidelines, or for other reasons, such as if the websites impair users to find relevant information.

Google states that they cannot comment on the individual reasons why a page may be removed. However, certain actions, such as cloaking, writing text in a way that can be seen by search engines but not by users, or setting up pages/links with the sole purpose of deceiving search engines, may result in removal from the index.

De-index

If your site is blocked from our index for violating our quality guidelines, we can alert you using Search Console. Simply log in to our Search Console , add your site's URL, and verify site ownership. The Overview page provides information about your site's indexing.

If you receive a notification that your site violates our quality guidelines, you can modify it to meet those guidelines and then submit the site for reconsideration .

Google indexing, by definition, is the removal of an already indexed URL from search results. A deindexed link is referred to when the (deindexing) request is accepted and the content is removed from Google's index.
