The index is a huge database of all the content that search have discovered and deem good enough to serve to researchers.

The ease with which a search engine bot can understand and add a web to its index.
Indexed Page
A web page that has been discovered by a crawler, added to a search engine index, and is eligible to appear in search results for relevant queries.
Index coverage report
A report in Google Search Console that shows the indexing status of your website's pages.
Tag NoIndex
A meta tag that instructs a search engine not to index the page it is on.
