Rich snippet
A snippet is a preview of the title and description that Google and other search display for URLs on their results page. A "rich" snippet is therefore an enhanced version of the standard snippet.

Some rich snippets can be incentivized using markup , such as review markup displayed as star ratings next to those URLs in search results.
Rich snippets are structured data.
Structured data can be added to HTML to provide information to search engines during crawling.
This information can then be displayed in SERPs, resulting in an enhanced listing known as a rich snippet.
