Siri (pronounced ) is a personal assistant-style application for iOS.

The app uses natural language processing artificial intelligence applications .

Siri was acquired by Apple Inc. on April 28, 2010. Before being purchased by Apple, it had been announced that Siri would soon be available for BlackBerry and Android phones, but all development efforts for non-Apple platforms were canceled after the purchase.

Siri is integrated into iOS 7 and is currently available on the following devices: iPhone 4S or later models; iPad Air; iPad mini and iPad mini with Retina display; and iPod Touch 5.

However, despite all these models coming with the Siri app, it's important to note that the Portuguese language is not yet available for use with Siri.
